I'm an energetic nonprofit professional in the Austin, Texas area with more than a decade of nonprofit management experience. I'm passionate about philanthropy, youth activism, and cultural history. You'll almost always find me with a cup of coffee nearby, and I love chatting about music, volunteer management, and fundraising.
I'm a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (hook 'em) and a former fellow of Georgetown University's Engalitcheff Institute of Comparative Political and Economic Systems. In the recent past I participated in the Clinton Global Initiative University, and received an Excellence Award from the American Red Cross.

Currently I'm directing development and communications for a statewide nonprofit, Peoplefund, and in the most recent past I created and directed the Texas Stars Foundation. For more than five years, I managed volunteer and youth services for the American Red Cross. Over the course of my career, I've collaborated with more than 25 other nonprofit organizations, from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Movember Foundation, and Heroes Night Out. I love working with charities and meeting new people also sharing their skills in the public sector.
When I'm not blogging or working, you can find me volunteering or exploring Austin.
